Welcome 2025! My three words for this year are…

Hiya, dear Readers!

Happiest of New Year’s wishes, and may 2025 be a good year for us all!

As always, I start the year with my three words to inspire and guide me. This year, I chose my three words to help me balance my creative and work world and to get the Tales from the Mullet completed and published!

Shimmer: to shine with a soft, slightly wavering light, like tinsel and glitter in the glow of fairy lights.

Ease: to have freedom from stress and maintain a state of feeling balanced. To feel comfort and enjoyment in all of the things that keep me happy.

Jewel: For me, the precious gift of creativity is the best jewel of all. The jewels I unearth in my characters’ hearts and souls sparkle and glimmer in my heart like rainbows in black opals dancing in the light.

So, what did I achieve in 2024? Did the words work? Well, they certainly helped, especially when feeling a little lost in the pea soup of daily stresses!

Play: I had a heap of fun with my characters, especially Kelvin and Frank in A Christmas Wish. I enjoyed all of my projects at home, some still half-done, but all begun with great enthusiasm and good intentions! I spent many hours of mindfulness maintenance enjoying my crochet capers, too!

Create: I published A Collection of Short Stories! A physical representation of my writer’s journey so far to find my Author’s voice. It was so very gratifying to hold my book in my hands! Great gratitude to you all for your heartfelt love, support and kindness on my creative adventures. I also crafted a heap of crochet projects, creating my peace and joy.

Glow: I felt the warm fuzzy feeling of fairy lights at Christmas from all of the above, all year round!

Maddy’s Aims for 2025: To get Tales from the Mullet published! Turn up at the desk and write! Shimmer, ease and jewel. Let’s go!

May you find joy and happiness in the simple things and enjoy 2025.

With gratitude, love & kindness,

Maddy x
