Kelvin on Zoomies

Hello dear friends!

What, you may ask, is a Zoomie? Well, it’s like when you have to zoom out from the moment, from the situation you are in. You have to go outside of yourself, look down on the situation, and re-assess your thoughts.

Like when Ethel shouted at me the other day because I whipper-snippered her rosemary bush. Or when Frank threw me out of the bar just because I asked him how he felt about Bertie building a grandstand at the footy oval.

Look at the big picture, I said to myself. With Ethel, the rosemary bush was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of shape. I thought a good prune back would help it, but upon zoomie-ing out, perhaps I should have used secateurs instead of the whipper snipper.

With Frank, I zoomied out and thought maybe Frank wants to keep things just the way they are. According to Frank, the spectators viewing at ground level are part of the game, not viewing from an elevated platform and, therefore, being removed from the play. Makes sense.

So, I reckon I will just Zoomie out and look at the bigger picture when conflict arises. Maybe a different perspective will help me not irritate Frank and Ethel quite so much.

Love & kindness,

Kelvin
